Global football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has said that he can not quit football because two unknown TV personalities criticized him.
The Al-Nassr forward responded to the recent backlash that followed his performance in the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany. At 39, he did not score during the tournament, leading to Portugal’s early exit.
There have been calls for him to step back from international football to allow younger players to take his place.
However, speaking on the development on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ronaldo said: “People always take the worst part, not always the good part. But I’m not going to finish my career because two rats criticise me.
“The world loves me, the fans love me. This is my motivation to carry on football. People love me.
“No one is going to take my shine away because two people from TV that nobody knows criticise me,” he further stated.
